Jörn Strehlau, previously Managing Director and Head of Xaxis at media network GroupM, has taken over as CEO of the European netID Foundation (EnID). He replaces Sven Bornemann, who left the login alliance in June 2021. CTO and board member Achim Schlosser led the foundation on an interim basis.
With Strehlau, the European netID Foundation gains an accomplished digital expert: for almost ten years, he held several positions at the world’s largest media network GroupM – among them Head of Investment Strategy and later as Head of Germany for the programmatic platform Xaxis. “Online marketing is experiencing a fundamental transformation process: Previous industry tracking methods miss the mark. With the single sign-on netID and the consent product netID Professional, the European netID Foundation has established a market standard that takes into account the interests of users as well as publishers and the business community. Shaping the future with all netID Foundation partners and acquiring new ones to further establish our login standard – this is one of the most exciting tasks of all in the digital economy. I’m looking forward to it,” says Strehlau.
Alongside Strehlau, Achim Schlosser continues as a member of the foundation’s top management committee. Since October 2018 – the year EnID was founded – Schlosser has been Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technical product development relating to single sign-on and consent management. In the past few months, he has been acting head of the company.
“Jörn Strehlau represents the highest level of digital expertise, market understanding and customer orientation in equal measure. This makes him the ideal candidate to fill our CEO position. I am sure that together with Achim Schlosser he will continue to drive netID’s success forward,” says Karin Immenroth, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the European netID Foundation.
