Effective immediately, the European netID Foundation is cooperating with Crossplan Germany, a leading integrated solutions provider for the audio market. The Hamburg-based data intelligence specialists will integrate netID single sign-on as well as the consent product netID Professional into their technology setup. This will enable radio stations such as R.SH – Radio Schleswig-Holstein, Radio Ton and Radio PSR to present cross-device, personalised advertising campaigns in their audio inventory. Users benefit from transparent and clear consent management.
Digital audio offerings are increasingly in demand – as demonstrated by the 2021 Online-Audio- Monitor study by The Federal Association of Digital Business (BVDW). Almost two thirds of the population in Germany regularly use online audio services. This makes the market more and more attractive for advertisers. The cooperation between the European netID Foundation and Crossplan Germany offers data protection compliant consent management to audio publishers and advertisers, and thereby a future-proof audio advertising solution.
“From podcasts to lectures to discussions, the audio market is booming – especially in digital form. This makes it all the more important for audio streamers and radio stations to be able to market their content accordingly: cross-device, target group-specific and data protection compliant. It’s another important step for us and the industry; driving the idea of an open and fair digital market,” says Achim Schlosser, member of the Board of Directors and Chief Technology Officer at the European netID Foundation.
“Digital audio thrives on GDPR-compliant user relationships that enable new, data-based advertising concepts,” adds Thomas Kabke-Sommer, Managing Director of Crossplan Germany. “Through our partnership with the European netID Foundation, we are ideally positioned for the associated data protection requirements and the technological challenges that come with the post-cookie era. With these netID solutions, we can offer our customers a future-proof technology setup, enabling them to implement a wide range of innovative user-centric publishing and marketing concepts.”
