The European netID Foundation calls for dialog and clarification of data protection and data law: In addition to the six existing advisory boards, in future there will also be a “Data and Digitization Forum”. The expert committee provides a scientific focus and will advise the foundation on issues relevant to the industry relating to the processing and regulation of data. The forum will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Rolf Schwartmann, a media and data protection lawyer.<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Data protection, data security, data law: These are the core topics of the new \u201cData and Digitization Forum\u201d at the European netID Foundation. The newly created forum is comprised of recognized experts from the fields of science and law. In detail, these are: Kristin Benedikt (Judge at the Regensburg Administrative Court\/DSB VG Regensburg), Dr. Stefan Hanloser (ProSiebenSat.1), Michael Hattermann (1&1), Prof. Dr. Christian Henner Hentsch (TH Cologne\/DSB game), Sebastian Kocks (RTL), Dr. Claus-Dieter Ulmer (Deutsche Telekom) and Dr. Nadja Kroha (Allianz) as well as the Chairman Prof. Dr. Rolf Schwartmann (TH Cologne).<\/p>\n

The new body serves to inform policymakers, business, academia and society about industry-relevant data issues and to highlight associated legal implications. One focus is on secure identities as well as data governance models. As an independent body, the \u201cData and Digitization Forum\u201d concentrates on supporting and advising the Foundation and is not bound by the Foundation’s directives.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIt is precisely the digital economy, which is developing so rapidly, that needs legal regulations that adapt to ongoing changes in a sustainable manner. The legislator has laid the groundwork with \u00a726 of the TTDSG. We would like to monitor the ongoing process and, in addition to other issues, promote it at the European level. \u00a0Following the approach of the lawmakers behind the TTDSG, data governance models, consent management systems, and secure identities are key components for the European digital industry – especially in competition with the major platforms. To achieve this, open standards must be developed, and regulatory and legal provisions must be further developed,\u201d says Prof. Dr. Rolf Schwartmann, Chairman of the \u201cData and Digitization Forum\u201d at the European netID Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it’s DSGVO, DGA, DMA, TTDSG or the adaptations of the major platforms: Companies must constantly respond to and apply new conditions. With the Data and Digitization Forum, we want to sensitize and inform business and politics alike on relevant future issues,\u201d adds J\u00f6rn Strehlau, CEO of the European netID Foundation.<\/p>\n
